The Clash Open-Source Ecosystem
The original Clash established rule-based routing, proxy groups, and YAML configuration. Clash Meta expanded these foundations with support for more protocols, rule sets, TUN, and DNS, and was later renamed mihomo. mihomo is a network proxy kernel responsible for connections, resolution, and traffic routing; FlClash is a Flutter-based graphical client that provides configuration management, subscription updates, and a cross-platform interface for the kernel. The client and kernel operate at different layers, so version compatibility must be assessed separately.
